Apostilles for Icelandic documents
In Iceland, apostilles are issued by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. We prepare the documents, submit and collect them, and send them to you or straight to the recipient – whether it is a certificate from Registers Iceland, a criminal record, a diploma or a document notarised by a notary public.
Apostilles for foreign documents
An apostille must always be issued by the authorities of the country where the document originated. Through our partner network we obtain apostilles in Poland, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, the United States and many other countries – without you having to travel.
The order matters
You often need both an apostille and a certified translation. Usually the apostille goes on the original first and the document is then translated together with the apostille, but some countries require otherwise. We check the destination's requirements before we start. If the country is not party to the Hague Convention, embassy legalization is required instead.
