What is a certified translation?
A certified (sworn or official) translation is a complete and accurate translation that the translator confirms with a signed declaration and stamp. In Iceland these are produced by authorised document translators (löggiltur skjalaþýðandi); other countries have their own systems, such as the tłumacz przysięgły in Poland or the traducteur assermenté in France. We know which requirements apply where, and assign the right translator for the destination.
Who we translate for
Individuals relocating to or from Iceland, students applying to universities, companies hiring international staff or working on foreign markets, law firms and public bodies. Our translations are used with Registers Iceland, the Directorate of Immigration, District Commissioners, courts, universities, banks, embassies and foreign authorities.
Translation and apostille in one order
If the document will be used in another country, you may need an apostille on the original, on the translation, or on both. We plan the correct order, arrange the certification and deliver the document ready to use – no running between offices.
